a first look
at the talents of tomorrow |
 |
| Clare Grant hails from Memphis, Tennessee, where she earned a university degree in Theater Performance. After a series of roles in local indie productions, Clare eventually landed her first Hollywood role as the Lissome Girl Audrey Parks, a small but pivotal role in the Johnny Cash biopic “Walk the Line” (2006), followed by a lead role in an episode of Showtimes’ “Masters of Horror”. More recently, you can find Clare playing opposite Christina Ricci, Samuel Jackson and Justin Timberlake in “Black Snake Moan” (2006), filmed in her Memphis backyard by “Hustle and Flow” director Craig Brewer.
But don’t be fooled by her girlish Southern Belle looks, Clare is also a self proclaimed Sci-Fi über geek and an avid comic book collector, and secretly worships Joss Whedon, creator of Buffy, Angel and Firefly. Her dream role would be playing a female action hero, as an X-men or as a special op agent in Mission Impossible.
Early 2007 has her put the “bomb” into bombshell, enjoying late night car chases and explosions as Heather, the leading heroine of the Terrorvision production “Follower”.
